Mid-Project Takeover
Did you have to fire your contractor after the project has started due to circumstances?
Has your project stalled out, fallen apart?
Have you lost hope that your home will ever be ok again?
Considerations
- This is not where anyone wants to be. You wouldn’t have hired someone who was seemingly a professional to do the work, if you thought you were going to end up here.
- Listening and being able to follow instructions is key for us to be able to proceed with any of the plans above. A project in crisis will require us to work together in tight coordination.
- Decisiveness is also key. Any changes that occur mid-project will have implications to cost as well as timeline. If there are things that you would like to change or add from the original plan, we need to try to determine those before recommencing work.
- The goal is to get your project moving again as quickly as possible to try to minimize any additional stress and cost to your remodel. However, it must be understood that restarting your project without having everything planned out would be a failure on my part to set the completion of your project up for success. We are on the same team. But if we fail to plan properly, we plan to fail.
- Legal obligations to the original company that you hired.
- I will provide any guidance that I am able. However, this is not my domain. Look into Mechanic’s Lien Options, can also report them to the Licensing Board.
